Welcome to the website for the Alberta Chapter of the International Society of Certified Employee Benefits Specialists (ISCEBS). Our chapter serves members and others in the employee benefits community by providing opportunities for networking, continuing education and professional growth. Chapter membership is open to individuals who have attained the CEBS, CMS, GBA or RPA designations, and to students working towards the designations. We also have pertinent information about the CEBS designation, local events and course offerings.
Alberta Chapter Members,
After completing my CEBS designation in 2018 and attending my first Symposium in 2019, I was looking for ways to get involved in the ISCEBS community. I joined the AB Chapter Board in 2023 and am excited to serve the community as President of the Board for 2024. I am surrounded by talented individuals who round out our Board for 2024 AB Chapter ISCEBS Board Members. If you are interested in joining us as we evolve the chapter in 2024, please reach out at ab.iscebs.gmail.com.
We have a diverse Employee Benefits and Group Pension industry in Alberta. Planning work is underway for 2024. We will offer education opportunities and are looking for ways to expand how we can better support the community such as providing in person networking opportunities. Stay tuned for updates!
Here are some resources available to you as a Society and Chapter member:
Our chapter will be announcing upcoming education events - watch for updates! We are here to support our community!
Sincerely,
Rhonda Grimshire, CEBS
Alberta
Chapter President
Enroll in the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist® (CEBS) program and earn the most respected designation in the benefits industry. You'll learn from health and retirement curriculum-Streamlined core courses, laser-focused content and less breadth and more depth mean now you can learn more in less time.
The Group Benefits Associate (GBA) and the Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) form the core of the CEBS curriculum. Earn a designation in each of the specialty tracks and, at the same time, receive credit that will qualify toward earning the CEBS designation, which carries a five-course requirement.
The CEBS designation is a credential that is recognized for the depth and relevance of critical knowledge achieved. It draws from the GBA and RPA curriculum to build a total benefits perspective and is achieved by successfully completing all five required courses.
